What Man United can do to beat Man City

I can't wait for the weekend to come around and bust open the Manchester Derby.
After a long, boring period of United's domination, City have risen strongly recently and are huge favourites to win this tie.

These days, City spend more, win more and have a more celebrated squad. While the Red Devils have slipped from Ferdinand to Smalling and have fallen from Beckham to Valencia, their city rivals have risen from Joey Barton and Vassel to Yaya Toure and Aguero. It's not so hard to see the contrasting fortunes.

So, can Man United defeat City on Sunday?
I have no beer in hand or weed inbetween lips as I say 'Yes, they can'!

It's Old Trafford for crying out loud. Swansea can go there and win. West ham can go and do the same. But not City and certainly not with Van Gaal still in charge.

The Red Devils have got Rooney. I really meant to say Martial but between the two strikers, Mangala and Otamendi simply will get punished any time between minute 1 or 90.

Lest you all have forgotten, Silva and Aguero are out injured and are certain to miss the game.
Of course, there is Bony and Sterling and De Bruyne but Smalling and De Gea can handle the trio on their own.

In short, Man City are not invincible. Hart isn't the best. Toure has dropped a bit in quality. And the City wall is not as strong as that of Jericho.

Man U can find a way through.

Blind should start beside Smalling, not on the left wing. He can't handle Navas there.
Young must get the nod over Memphis so as to help out anyone defending against the Spaniard.

The duo of Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger should be able to match Yaya and Fernandinho in midfield. Mata, Rooney and Martial can start further forward. If Kompany isn't fit enough to play, the trio should wreck enough damage.

United can win this but Van Gaal has to swallow pride and do a Wenger-versus-Bayern.
