Premier League Team of the Season so far

It's been hard keeping up with the EPL with just 8 games played. There has been dramas, controversies and breathe-taking goals.
Results have been ever so unpredictable. Special ones have been humiliated. Last year's wunderkids have been made out to be one season wonders. And little known stars have outshone the celebrities.
I'm gonna enjoy coming up with this Best XI.

GK: Schmeichel (Leicester City)
If you were born in the nineties, you probably didn't see his father play but he was as good as any. The lad is pretty much a chip off the old block. Easily the reason why Leicester have only one loss against their name so far.

RB: Bellerin
Darmian ran him close but the Arsenal youngster has had no equal so far. Jet heeled, good going forward and solid defensively, Bellerin is everything Ivanovic has lost.

CB: Smalling
His name might belittle him but this Red devil has grown in stature and confidence. Though, he was part of the United defense that Arsenal made look like learners the last time but he's acquitted himself well in other games.

CB: Stones (Everton)
Many people who didn't pay much attention to his game last year thought it ridiculous that Chelsea were almost ready to part with £50m to get him to move to London. It didn't take the Blues long to rue that miss.

LB: Azpilicueta (Chelsea)
It's strange for a right full back to nail down a left back slot but David has been exceptional. Chelsea have been mediocre so far but the Spaniard has emerged as the sole shining light.

CM: Coquelin
Matic is suffering. Schneiderlin is still getting used to playing for United. Fernandinho has been suspect. Only Wayama and Cabaye could have claimed to being on not too far a level to the terrific Gunner.

CM: Toure (Man City)
Yaya is the best central midfielder in England. He is slowing down yet he still has no equal. He's bullying, battering, providing assists and scoring vital goals. City can do great things if the Ivorian stays fit.

AM: David Silva (Man City)
Ozil could have made this list, and so too Mata but Silva is first among equal. His vision for the final pass is still clearer than an eagle's as he continues to dominate games and get the Citizens buzzing for the long haul.

RF: De Bruyne
Another man's meat is another's poison. How much Chelsea would rue letting him go so easy. Kevin has taken to the EPL like he's never been away and his knack for goals will keep favouring him ahead of Nasri, Navas and the Nay-sayers.

CF: Vardy
Yes, both Vardy & Aguero have netted 6 goals apiece but the Argentine got 5 of his in one match. Vardy's however have been more finely distributed helping his newly promoted side rub shoulders with the Top 4.

LF: Sanchez
Hazard is a shadow. Martial and Ayew have surprised me with their quality and composure but they still lack something I just can't put a name on right now. And Sterling simply isn't ready to step up. Even Coutinho would have done a better job than Depay at left forward.
Sanchez was a tough choice but we can all agree that he's one of the truly world class players in the EPL

Team of the Season so far: 4-2-3-1
Schmeichel; Bellerin, Smalling, Stones, Azpilicueta; Coquelin, Toure; De Bruyne, Silva, Sanchez; Vardy.
