I never thought this day would come.
When I would be making a case for a
manager who I have waited so many years to see suffer.
How time flies. How each passing day
changes everything.
I always had mixed feelings for Jose Mourinho before he arrived England for the first time as the Special One.
He had thrilled me with his quarterfinal victory over Man United with his modest Porto side enroute winning his first Champions League title. But in the final of that year's campaign, I had rooted for Monaco, who appeared the more exciting to watch side. He won. I didn’t like that. A little.
Then a different Mou arrived London. Egoistic, loud-mouthed and self-praising. None of that sat well with me. Then in three short years, he built an efficient match-winning side, won titles and usurped Arsenal as the 'Pride of London'. Oh my Arsenal!
In between somewhere, he took up issues with Arsene Wenger (yes, the Great Wenger) and started calling the more elderly tactician the most absurd names.
How I despised Mourinho those days! I despised him, despised him and despised him the more.

Night and day, day and night. I hated his guts and got pissed by his words.
As fate would have it though, the more I hated him, the more successful he got.
He left the EPL for Italy and so did I. Jose pitched camp with Inter and I opted for Milan, just to shout him down and see him fall.
Again, he recorded more feats than the
Serie A giants had ever seen.
Then he got a call from Spain and he
shifted base to Madrid to handle the biggest club in the world.
I couldn't hide my displeasure.
I couldn't hide my displeasure.
He performed creditably in Spain and won the title for Real at the expense of the finest Barcelona side of all times. Needless to say, I supported Barca every single second the Portuguese spent in Spain.
All that time in Spain, Jose never stopped flirting with Chelsea and when his time at the Bernabeu was done, he finally returned home. And my latest nightmare began.
First, he had the effrontery to convince a former Gunner to pitch tent with the Blues. Well, Arsenal had Ozil, so I wasn't that hurt. Then he displayed the tactical nous to deploy the Spanish maestro's skills to winning the EPL that same season.
It seemed Jose was destined to punish me for life.
That was when his travails began.
New season, new hopes, new goals to aim for.
But it has started so poorly for the London Blues and after 10 games, half of which they have lost, they sit comfortably in the company of relegated threatened Aston Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle.
Chelsea makes the Premier League table
so interesting to look at.
You can't imagine how fun it is to see
Mourinho finally struggle. After years of me stalking him across Europe.
Now I don't miss the papers anymore.
Daily I expect him to pick fights with someone new. And he never disappoints.
Typical Mou.
He's slugged it out with the team
doctor. He's blamed the referee. The linesmen. Goal-line technology. His
players. Opposing managers. The FA. Bad luck. The media. The weather. The cook.
Even himself.
I laugh for hours sometimes. I like
that guy, Mourinho. Dude should consider a career in comedy once he hangs his
managerial hats. I can get him a gig in AY Live. Seriously.
That was when the rumours started to circulate, that Mourinho could get sack!
Like some devil had gotten into one of
Abrahamovic's advisors to stop my joy.
You don't want to mess with an MFM member, I tell you!
I wanted to shout at the Russian: ‘Don't be crazy’.

When will Chelsea get this: You can't
win all the time. You win some, you lose some but you put your trust in a great
manager.
You don't fire Mourinho at Chelsea. He’s not just a coach, he's a fan. He loves that club. He would not have come back if he didn't.
How many times do you get to say that
of a manager.
And when you sack him, who do you bring in? Ancelotti? He's an AC Milan fan! Guardiola? A Barca fan. David Moyes? Your loss.

I’m positive Chelsea are out of the
title race, this season. Hell, they are even out of the race for the top four.
And it doesn’t matter if they replace Mou with Sir Alex Ferguson. No one can change that fact.
But if anyone has the tactical nous and
sheer guts to turn things around for the London giants then it’s no other than
Jose Mourinho. He’s simply the best around. And it would be a huge mistake for
Chelsea to kick him out when they need him the most.
