Arsenal's an awaiting disaster and Klopp's no flop

Arsenal are two injuries away from a disaster

The Gunners have had a perfect week handling crushing defeats to Watford, Bayern and Everton. Hope is rekindled in the Champions League and they have risen to the top of the EPL. It's a fine time to be an Arsenal fan.

Beyond the celebration however are signs that all is not well. The injuries are creeping back. Ramsey, the latest victim. The Welsh man joining Welbeck, Wilshere & Rosicky on the surgery room. His replacement, Chamberlain, looked rusty against Everton and the bench isn't looking that rosy.

Injury to any of Sanchez & Giroud will expose a squad that could have been strengthened in August.

The Manchester Derby was overrated

If there was a public protest for a refund, I would have joined. The derby was certainly not what fans paid to watch with all the hype that preceded the encounter.

In fairness, no El Classico I've watched has ever been this boring and lifeless.
With almost £500m players on parade, I didn't believe I'd wait till the 82minute to see the first attempt at goal.
Something is wrong in Manchester.

Rooney is not to blame

Contrary to what some fans insinuate, the Red Devils skipper is not the reason for United's lame form.
If anything, it's Van Gaal's cross to carry. Fans may clamour but to bench a player of Rooney's quality would be insane.

He's a leader. He's in a class few players get put in.
Martial should lead the attack but there's a role for Rooney somewhere in there. It's up to LVG to find it.

Klopp's no flop

Three draws in three games for the German and the reality is whipping the cold truth into Liverpool fans that their team may just be full of average players.

Well, it's partly Brendan Rodgers fault and it would be unfair to plant any wrongdoing at Klopp's feet so early in his Kop journey.

Neither Origi, Lallana, Firmino or Hendersen will walk into any major side's first eleven and I reckon if Liverpool wants to take the step up then none of these players should be around by the time Klopp's revolution is complete.
